After working for many years as a builder and building surveyor, I decided to develop my passion for designing and making garden products. It started with a few roof and floor slates left over from a building project. I made some different style bird boxes and put them up on the garden fence. The result was really encouraging. The enthusiastic response from both neighbours and some local Blue Tits, who successfully produced a clutch of six chicks, inspired me to continue to create and expand my range.
Using principally Welsh slate and my own hand-forged ironwork, I’ve created a variety of unique garden products including nest boxes, bird tables, water features and more. I source my slate from Snowdonia, Cwt-y-Bugail quarry (“shepherd’s hut”). The enduring and attractive quality of Welsh slate combined with unique designs, brings art to your garden… and luxury for the birds who visit!
An important element for me is that everything I make is both attractive to look at and hand crafted to last many years.
I exhibit at a number of shows, details of which you will find in the Events section.
